Greg serves as the Section Chief for CWCB’s Water Supply Planning section, which includes the Office of Water Conservation & Drought Planning. He is responsible for coordinating and directing the work of the section. This section works to help provide an adequate water supply for Colorado’s citizens and the environment. The section provides a permanent forum for broad-based discussions on Colorado’s water supply future through the Interbasin Compact Process and associated river basin roundtables. The Water Supply Planning section analyzes Colorado’s current and future consumptive and nonconsumptive water needs and potential projects or methods to meet those needs. The section evaluates water supply strategies for meeting Colorado’s future water needs and it administers grant programs to help implement projects/methods for meeting Colorado’s water needs including the Water Supply Reserve Account and the Alternative Agricultural Transfers grant program. The section also provides public education and outreach on Colorado’s water supply future.

  • Overseeing nonconsumptive (environmental and recreational) water needs
  • Managing the assessment of water supply needs for energy development
  • Tracking land use effects on future water supply
  • Managing public education and outreach on Colorado’s Water Supply Future

Craig is responsible for technical assistance and program management related to Colorado’s future water supply needs. Other areas of responsibility include:

  • Managing the Water Supply Reserve Fund program
  • Overseeing the agricultural water needs and Alternative Agricultural Transfers Grant program
  • Tracking and supporting water supply projects and methods for meeting Colorado’s future municipal and industrial water needs
Geographically, this position is the section lead in the South Platte, North Platte, Gunnison and Yampa/White basins.

Megan is responsible for technical assistance and project management related to Colorado’s future water supply needs. Other areas of responsibility include:
  • Managing projects under the Water Supply Reserve Account program
  • Tracking and supporting water projects and methods that address Colorado’s future water needs
  • Overseeing nonconsumptive (environmental and recreational) water needs
  • Monitoring and forecasting municipal and industrial water needs
Geographically, Megan is the section lead for the Colorado, Southwest, Metro, and Rio Grande basins.

Dori is responsible for executing contracts for the Water Supply Reserve Account Fund (WSRF) and the Alternative Agricultural Water Transfer Method (ATM) program. Other responsibilities include:
  • Confers with the WSRF and ATM Program Mangers along with grantees on State government contracting requirements
  • Resolves grant contract conflicts
  • Manages procurement, accounting, and invoice payments for the WSRF and ATM programs

Elgin is responsible for administrative tasks such as record keeping/imaging, invoice processing and general administrative support to the Section. Other responsibilities include:
  • Maintaining Water Supply Reserve Fund (WSRF) and Colorado Water Plan Grant’s required Procurement and Contracting documents
  • Maintaining Water Supply Reserve Fund (WSRF) database and files
  • Basin Roundtable event and meeting planning

This position is responsible for providing technical assistance to water providers and water users throughout Colorado in the development, implementation, and monitoring of drought mitigation planning programs. This position also provides technical expertise in the coordination of the CWCB’s participation in regional efforts to develop hydrologic models that analyze the impacts of climate change on water resources and future demands. Other areas of responsibility include:
  • Serving as the office’s technical specialist to conduct studies and surveys relating to drought and climate change
  • Serves as a co-chair of the Governor’s Water Availability Task Force
  • Performing research and analysis of existing drought planning & implementation efforts
  • Implementing efforts to improve drought monitoring, mitigation and response statewide
  • Reviewing, researching and analyzing data necessary to develop approaches for quantifying and considering uncertainties and risk in water resource planning & management, focusing primarily on climate change and implementation of water management strategies.

Kevin is responsible for providing technical assistance to water providers and water users throughout Colorado in the development and implementation of water conservation planning programs. Other areas of responsibility include:
  • Reviewing water conservation plans and developing water conservation planning tools
  • Performing research and analysis of existing water conservation planning & implementation efforts
  • Coordinating and implementing efforts to improve water conservation planning and research statewide

Ben is responsible for coordinating public information and K-12 education efforts for the OWCDP. Other areas of responsibility include:
  • Manages the CWCB’s Water Efficiency Grant Program, which grants monies for water conservation & drought mitigation planning & implementation activities, as well as water resource conservation education & outreach
  • Coordinating meeting logistics for the Governor's Water Availability Task Force
  • Maintaining and updating content for the OWCDP Website
  • Promoting and implementing water education programs and activities
  • Maintaining a clearinghouse of printed public information and water education materials
Geographically, Ben is the section lead for the Arkansas basin.
