Technical Roundtables (TRTs)

The goal of the Technical Roundtables (TRT) is to foster cooperation among water suppliers and citizens in every water basin to examine and implement options to fill the gap between ongoing water planning and future water needs.
SWSI Phase 2 Technical Roundtable Process
There are four Technical Roundtables:

The role of the TRT members is to provide insight and recommendations on the four areas described above. The information generated by the TRTs will be considered by the CWCB Board as part of any water policy that is developed as a result of the SWSI Phase 2 efforts. In addition to providing information to the CWCB board, the TRTs will also provide information to the House Bill 05-1177 – "Interbasin Compact" roundtables. HB05-1177 outlines activities for both a 27-member Interbasin Compact Committee (IBCC) and Interbasin Compact Basin Roundtables (BRTs). Many of HB05-1177's preliminary activities focus on establishing logistics and operating procedures, followed by more detailed negotiations. As needed, SWSI will provide technical information to the HB05-1177 IBCC and the BRTs. This information could be data from SWSI Phase I or information and recommendations developed as part of the TRT process.
